Send Us Your Prayer Request

Whatever you are carrying today, you do not have to carry it alone.

Pastor Bill and the JesusQuest prayer team read every request that comes through this page, and we pray over each one by name. There is no cost and nothing to sign up for. You do not need to explain yourself or use the right words — just tell us what is on your heart.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” — Philippians 4:6

We will never share your request outside our prayer team. See our privacy policy.

Would you like to talk with someone?

If you would rather speak with Pastor Bill directly, you can schedule a free consultation at a time that suits you.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) — they are available 24 hours a day. We are glad to pray alongside professional care, and we would encourage you to reach out to both.

If you sent a request above, it is already on its way to us. If you are still deciding — or you are just not sure prayer is worth asking for right now — the rest of this page is for you.

What Happens After You Send Your Request

Pastor Bill and the prayer team read every request that comes in and pray over each one by name. That is the whole process. Nothing is auto-filed and nothing gets an automated reply.

Send one line or the whole story — whichever you have in you. A first name is enough. You do not have to explain yourself well, you do not have to attend anything, and you do not have to believe a particular way to be prayed for. There is no cost and nothing to sign up for.

Your request is not published anywhere unless you tick the box on the form giving permission. It stays unticked unless you tick it.

What the Bible Says About Prayer

Scripture treats prayer as the most ordinary thing in the world and the most consequential. Not a technique, not a formula — a conversation you are invited into.

"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."

Jeremiah 33:3

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you."

Matthew 7:7

Three verbs, all of them things you do. None of them require you to have your life in order first.

"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."

Hebrews 4:16

Boldly. Not tentatively, not once you have earned it.

"The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth."

Psalm 145:18

"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us."

1 John 5:14

"Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

1 Thessalonians 5:17–18

"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

James 5:16

"Pray one for another." Scripture assumes you are not doing this alone — which is the whole reason a page like this exists.

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

Matthew 18:20

Prayer in Hard Times: Verses to Hold Onto

Most people who send a prayer request are not having a good week. These are the passages written by people in the same place.

"And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me."

Psalm 50:15

"In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears."

Psalm 18:6

"Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I."

Psalm 61:1–2

"When my heart is overwhelmed" — not if. The psalmist expects it.

"The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles."

Psalm 34:17

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

Philippians 4:6–7

Read what is actually promised there. Not the outcome — the peace, while you wait for the outcome.

"And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint."

Luke 18:1

The parable that follows is about a woman who keeps asking and does not stop. Persistence is not treated as nagging. It is treated as faith.

When You Do Not Know How to Pray

This is the most common reason people say they do not pray — not disbelief, but not knowing the words. Scripture answers it directly.

"Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."

Romans 8:26

That verse says the gap you are feeling is normal, expected, and already covered. You do not have to find the right words. You are not being graded.

If it helps to start with something borrowed, Jesus gave his disciples a pattern when they asked him the same question:

"Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil."

Matthew 6:9–13

A Simple Pattern for Praying

If you want somewhere to start tonight, this is as simple as it gets.

  1. Say what is true. Out loud or silently. "I am scared." "I am angry." "I do not know if you are listening." God is not fragile.
  2. Ask for the specific thing. Not a general blessing — the appointment, the conversation, the night ahead.
  3. Ask for what you need to get through it, separately from asking for the thing to change. Both are legitimate requests.
  4. Say thank you for one thing. Even a small one. This is harder on bad days and matters more on them.
  5. Stop. Short prayers are not lesser prayers.

If you would rather use someone else's words

Father, I do not have much to bring you tonight. You know the situation better than I could explain it, and you know how tired I am of carrying it.

I am asking you to move in it. And while I wait, steady me. Give me enough for today. Keep me from bitterness, and keep me from giving up on you.

Thank you that I do not have to say this well for you to hear it.

In Jesus' name, amen.

Questions People Ask

Do I have to be a Christian to send a prayer request?

No. Send it however you are. You will not be lectured, and nobody will follow up to argue with you.

Will anyone see what I wrote?

Only the people who pray over it. It is not published anywhere unless you tick the box on the form giving permission, and that box is unticked by default.

How long does it take?

Requests are read as they come in. You are being prayed for whether or not you hear back.

Can I ask for prayer for someone else?

Yes, and many people do. Use their first name or no name at all — God knows who you mean.

What if I have asked before and nothing changed?

Then you are in the company of most of the people in scripture. Paul asked three times about one hardship and was told no (2 Corinthians 12:8–9). Roughly a third of the Psalms are complaints, and Psalm 88 ends without resolution — and it is still in the book. Unanswered prayer is not proof you did something wrong.

I need help right now. What should I do?

Please reach a person tonight as well as sending a request. If you are in crisis in the US, you can call or text 988 at any hour to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. If you are dealing with a medical or mental health condition, stay under the care of a qualified professional — prayer goes alongside that care, never instead of it.

Send Your Request

Whatever you are carrying, you do not have to carry it by yourself. Tell us what you are facing, in as much or as little detail as you want, and we will pray for you by name.
