Deliverance Ministry

Some things do not shift with effort. You have prayed about it, you have tried to think your way out of it, and it is still there — the same pattern, the same heaviness, the same thing you cannot account for.

Scripture takes that experience seriously. So do we.

What deliverance ministry is

Deliverance is prayer for freedom from spiritual oppression. It is one of the oldest practices of the church, and at JesusQuest it is exactly what it sounds like: a believer sitting with you and praying, in the authority of Jesus, over whatever is weighing on you.

There is nothing theatrical about it. No performance, no audience, no pressure.

What happens in a session

You talk, and Pastor Bill listens. There is no form to fill in and no script to follow — you say as much or as little as you want to, and nothing you say leaves the room.

Then you pray together. He will pray over the things you have named, and he will teach you how to keep praying about them yourself afterwards, because the point is not to make you dependent on a minister. Most people find one conversation is a beginning rather than an ending, and you are welcome to come back.

Sessions are by Zoom, by phone, or in person, and the first one is free.

Who comes to us

People who feel stuck in something they cannot explain. People who have carried something for a long time and are tired of carrying it alone. People who suspect there is a spiritual dimension to what they are facing and do not know who to ask about it.

You do not need the right words, and you do not need to have it worked out before you come. Bringing it is enough.

What scripture says

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils.” — Mark 16:17

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” — James 4:7

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world.” — Ephesians 6:12

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” — John 8:36

Not ready to talk yet? You can send a prayer request and Pastor Bill and our prayer team will pray over it this week.

JesusQuest is a ministry, not a medical or mental-health provider. We are glad to pray alongside professional care and would never ask anyone to choose between the two. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) — they are there 24 hours a day.
